LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Spalding men's lacrosse hosted Northland College on Monday for the last game of the season. SU came out with the win, 19-11.
Spalding finished the season with a record of 1-13 (0-4 HCLC).
TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles opened strong, outscoring Northland 6–3 in the first quarter and building on that in the second. By halftime, Spalding had established an 11–5 lead. Their offensive efficiency was evident, as they capitalized on numerous faceoff wins and ground balls to maintain possession and dictate the game's tempo. Defensively, they effectively stifled Northland's key offensive players, limiting their scoring opportunities.
In the second half, Spalding continued to dominate both ends of the field. Despite Northland's efforts to rally, the Golden Eagles' relentless offense and solid defensive plays ensured that their lead never faltered. Spalding's superior faceoff and ground ball play continued throughout the game, allowing them to control the pace and limit Northland's offensive chances. The win was a strong finish to the regular season.
