CRAWFORDSVILLE, In. - The mens track and field team opened up their season at the Robert H. Johnson Invite.
TURNING POINTS
The meet started off with the Spalding's lone short sprinter,
Odens Dejour. He competed in the 60m dash prelims. He finished with a time of 7.41 seconds.
After coming off a fabulous finish in cross country, freshman
Noah Stinson started his day off in the 1 mile run. He finished with new indoor personal record (PR) for the event running it in a time of 4:58.69. Stinson would later double back in the 800. He made the 4 lap race look smooth with a time of 2:06.17.
Sophmore
Gavin Janning took the track in the 400m dash after Stinson stepped off. Janning navigated in a time of 55.61.
To round out the running events for the team, sophomore
Wyatt Frye took on the 3000m distance. He was eager off the line but ultimately finished in a time of 10:08.45.
The lone field athlete
Aterryonn Williams competed in both the weight throw and shot put. He threw 8.09m (26' 6.5") in the weight throw, and 9.0m (29' 6.5") in the shot put.
