Spalding has suspended athletic activities until further notice

COVID-19 UPDATE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding University has suspended all sport related activities for fall, winter and spring sports, effective immediately, due to the growing health concerns of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

During this unprecedented time, the health, safety and welfare of our student-athletes and staff is our paramount concern. Therefore, the decision was made to suspend all athletics related activities. We will continue to monitor the situation working with our university, conference and NCAA as the situation continues to evolve.

In accordance with NCAA Board of Governors decision, along with the cancellation by the NCAA of all winter and spring championships, the magnitude of the situation has increased to where this is a necessary action.

The university announced Wednesday, March 11, that Monday, March 16, 2020, Spalding University will move all face-to-face classes online. At this time, face-to-face classes are scheduled to resume on April 6, 2020, but is subject to change. For students on session break next week, the move to online classes will apply to the start of the new term on Monday, March 23, 2020.
