DELAWARE, Ohio – The Spalding track and field team wrapped up the 2018 outdoor season at the Great Lakes Qualifier at Ohio Wesleyan Thursday in Delaware, Ohio.

HIGHLIGHTS
Cameron Mitchell had a monster personal record in hammer throw hitting a distance of 49.04, besting his previous best by 1.75 meters, taking eighth place. Noah Hadfield also competed in hammer taking 13th with a mark of 43.51 meters.
Sprinter Kelsey Hamilton placed eighth in the 100 meter dash clocking a time of 13.17 seconds.
Senior Katie Suiters turned in the top performance for SU taking fourth in shot put hitting a distance of 11.57 meters. Suiters also took eighth in hammer throw with a mark of 34.94 meters and placed 11th in discus hitting a distance of 36.46m. MiKayla Talbott also had a top-5 finish in shot put placing fifth with a distance of 11.53 meters. Taylor Bent placed just outside the top-5 in hammer throw placing sixth hitting a distance of 39.80 meters.
