Joey Lesher, a senior from Carmel, Ind., led the Golden Eagles to a 5-0 win over Fontbonne University during their first conference match of the season. Lesher and the back line held the Griffins to only six shots on goal but earned the shutout. Offensively, he added the first goal of the game off of a penalty kick. The Spalding University men’s soccer team will face their next SLIAC opponent, Westminster College, this Saturday.
