Spalding Volleyball visited Oakland City University Monday night for a nonconference affair in the Johnsen Center.   The Golden Eagles beat the Lady last season in straight sets (25-27, 16-25, 22-25) but were unable to repeat this year losing in four sets (25-18, 25-11, 20-25, 27-25).

The Golden Eagles never gained a lead in the first set losing 25-18.  The second set was a different story as they got out to a 5-3 lead.  However, Oakland City went on a 14-2 putting the second set out of reach.  Spalding dominated the 3^rd set putting the match to 2-1.  They had many chances in the 4^th set to force a 15 point 5^th set, but just could not capitalize. 

Spalding is back in action this weekend in St. Louis facing off against Webster University, Greenville College and McKendree College.
