Jessica Guy Named SLIAC Player of the Week for Second Time

Spalding University’s Jessica Guy, a freshman from Louisville, Ky. (Moore), has been named the Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 23-29. This marks the second time this season that she has earned the honor.
Guy, a 5-11 forward, recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Golden Eagles defeated Westminster College (Mo.), 71-68, to break the Blue Jays’ 30-game regular season win streak. Guy shot 6-of-12 (.500) from the field and 4-of -7 (.571) from the free throw line, while also added one assist and one steal. She added seven points, six rebounds and three steals as well last week in a 60-56 loss to Fontbonne University.
