Brasher Named SLIAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Spalding University’s Jametrius Brasher, a junior from Louisville, Ky. (Male), has been named the Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 21-27. Brasher, a 6-6 forward, averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games played last week, while also shooting 50 percent (12-of-24) from the field. He recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds in an 82-72 overtime loss to Victory University. Brasher shot 5-of-12 (.410) from the field, 7-of-10 (.700) from the free throw line and tallied two assists and one block. He scored 20 points on 7-of-12 (.580) shooting from the field and 6-of-9 (.667) from the charity stripe to lead the Golden Eagles to a 65-54 victory over Alma College. Brasher also added two steals and one block in the win.
