Gorloks Too Much for Golden Eagles; Spalding Defeats Principia
Men’s Basketball blew past Principia Friday 84-59. Spalding went into halftime with an 11 point lead, and went on to win by 25. One key factor to the victory was a hot shooting night from the field. The Golden Eagles finished the game with a 51.7 field goal percentage. Tyler St. Julian led Spalding with 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Men’s Basketball lost Saturday at Webster 67-62. The Golden Eagles played well but could not overcome a nightmarish performance from beyond the arc. Spalding had a better field goal percentage than Webster, but only connected on 1 of 16 three point attempts. The Golden Eagles were led another double-double by Jametrius Brasher. Brasher finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. The Golden Eagles next home games are Tuesday January 10th against Fontbonne University at 8:00pm, and Thursday January 12th against Blackburn College at 8:00pm.
